MOCA Simulation Course for Part IV of Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology

Monday, March 11, 2013 to Monday, March 11, 2013

Location:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
United States of America
At:
WISER

WISER's MOCA ® simulation course is a fun, fast-paced and challenging experience, where participants manage patients with hypoxia and hemodynamic instability in a variety of perioperative settings. These Saturday classes run from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. WISER began teaching with human-patient simulation in 1996, making us one of the longest-tenured simulation education facilities in the world. We have significant experience teaching anesthesiologists skills like difficult airway management, anesthesia crisis leadership, and central venous cannulation. In fact, you, or one of your colleagues, may have taken one of our courses at the ASA’s annual meeting. The course curriculum focuses on relevant and challenging crises that a clinician might face, and our instructors are authors and experts in simulation education, and well versed in facilitating courses for practicing anesthesiologists. The University of Pittsburgh Department of Anesthesiology values simulation education so highly that it requires that all department faculty attend training at WISER. Those who have completed our course have lauded us for our professionalism, supportiveness, and the non-threatening, comfortable course environment we create. WISER is located in Pittsburgh, PA, within blocks of the University of Pittsburgh main campus. We are 25-35 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport. With convenient bus, taxi or limousine service to and from the airport, and many national chain hotels within walking distance of WISER, our participants do not need to rent a car. Discounts are offered to University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine graduates, graduates of our residency or fellowship programs, and for current and former faculty members.
