Often when an incident or issue occurs, the focus quickly shifts from the problem to the solution. Safe Tables are interactive sessions that help participants develop meaningful skills for tackling chronic system issues and complex patient safety scenarios.
The facilitators of Safe Tables are experts in patient safety and will discuss how to build a culture of reporting adverse events, highlight how easily cognitive biases can occur, and share useful methods in analyzing cases by identifying core issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned by utilizing actual incident reports submitted to the AIRS database. Tools acquired from this session will expand skills in incident analyses and competencies.
