Disease Control Priorities: Essential Surgery
http://dcp-3.org/

The volume Essential Surgery identifies 44 surgical cost-effective procedures that could be feasibly implemented in low- and middle-income countries. Universal access to those procedures would rank among the most cost effective of all health interventions. Sections are Overview; The Global Burden; Surgical Interventions; Surgical Platforms and Policies; The Economics of Surgery. Online downloads are free at dcp-3.org or through the World Bank Open Knowledge Repository at www.openknowledge.worldbank.org
