The Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) has awarded ASA and 10 other member specialty societies grants of $100,000 each to promote diagnostic excellence across the field of medicine. The ASA Committee on Geriatric Anesthesia, including the Perioperative Brain Health Subcommittee, will develop free educational virtual learning products with Continuing Medical Education (CME) awarded to train physician anesthesiologists on the use of important diagnostic tools needed to improve the care of older adults. The learning products will include recorded webinars, a live townhall, and incorporate a take-home toolkit for learners to provide references to use in the daily engagement of older adult patients within their own medical community. This project is funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and The John A. Hartford Foundation through a grant program administered by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies.
