Clin-STAR

The National Institute of Aging (NIA) has recently provided funding for the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) to develop a virtual research community, the Clinician Scientist Transdisciplinary Aging Research (Clin-STAR) Coordinating Center. The Clin-STAR Coordinating Center was established in an effort to connect medical and surgical specialty clinician-investigators in aging/geriatric research on a broader, national level, to accelerate transdisciplinary research, and to offer opportunities to network, collaborate, mentor, and promote career development. The Clin-STAR Coordinating Center will organize activities and provide resources for the cultivation, connection, and synergy of clinician-scientists in aging research from disparate specialties across the US.

Physician-investigators in anesthesiology conducting aging/geriatric research are encouraged to engage with the Clin-STAR Coordinating Center and leverage this powerful resource.
