APSF-FAER Mentored Research Training Grant

The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF) and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) are offering the joint APSF-FAER Mentored Research Training Grant (MRTG) to develop the next generation of perioperative patient safety scientists.

This two-year, $300,000 award aims to help anesthesiologists develop the skills and preliminary data they need to become independent investigators in the field of anesthesia patient safety.

Those interested in pursuing the APSF-FAER MRTG will need to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) prior to submitting a full application.

Research Areas: Patient Safety

Eligibility: Anesthesiologist faculty member who is within 10 years of their first faculty appointment.

Funding Amount and Duration: $300,000 over two years

Research Time: 60%

LOI Submission Window: December 1, 2024, through January 1, 2025

Full Application Deadline: February 15, 2025
