SPA-FAER Mentored Research Training Grant

The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA) and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) are offering the joint SPA-FAER Mentored Research Training Grant (MRTG) to develop the next generation of pediatric anesthesia physician-investigators.

This two-year, $250,000 award aims to help anesthesiologists develop the skills and preliminary data they need to become independent investigators in the field of pediatric anesthesiology advancing the health and well-being of children.

Those interested in pursuing the SPA-FAER MRTG will need to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) prior to submitting a full application.

Research Areas: All areas of anesthesia research that contribute to advancing the health and well-being of children who require anesthesia, pain management, or critical care services.

Eligibility: Anesthesiologist faculty member who is within 10 years of their first faculty appointment.

Funding Amount and Duration: $250,000 over two years

Research Time: 60%

LOI Submission Window: December 6, 2024, through January 15, 2025

Full Application Deadline: March 15, 2025
