ASA president-elect quoted in Modern Healthcare

Jeffrey S. Plagenhoef, M.D., was quoted on the role of nurse anesthetists in the anesthesia care team in a Modern Healthcare article regarding the recent labor dispute involving the outsourcing of nurse anesthetist staff. “It's irresponsible of anyone to say that patients should receive care without physician oversight,” said Dr. Plagenhoef.
