ASA committee members write on importance of listening to patients, families on KevinMD.com
In the article, Rita Agarwal, MD, FASA, Anna Swenson, MD, Barbara Orlando, MD, FASA, and Christina Menor, MD, FASA, members of ASA’s Committee on Women Anesthesiologists, wrote on how listening to patients and their families is so important for better patient care, through firsthand physician accounts. “Sometimes, we are so busy with our daily tasks that we do not realize the importance of human interactions. All it takes is a few extra minutes to stop and listen, and that can make all the difference in a patient’s experience,” they wrote.
