CMS Approves AQI’s QCDR Measures and Registry Reporting for 2023

This week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the Anesthesia Quality Institute’s (AQI) status as a Qualified Registry (QR) and a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) for reporting the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) in CY2023. 

CMS also approved AQI’s 2023 QCDR measures. In accordance with CMS’s disclosure requirements AQI National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) subsequently issued its 2023 QCDR Measure Specification Book  with comprehensive information on measures removed by CMS, changes to measure specifications from 2022 to 2023, and MIPS measures that are supported by AQI.
