New No Surprises Act Independent Dispute Resolution Fees Started on January 1, 2025

The Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, and the Department of the Treasury (the Departments) announced new Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) entity fees for disputes initiated on or after Jan. 1, 2025. The fees vary depending on the IDR entity; some fees remained the same as 2024, but many more increased or decreased from 2024 rates. Fees continue to be determined based on whether a dispute is a single determination, batched (for 2–25-line items in a batched dispute), and/or tiered (for every additional 25 line items in a batched dispute, beginning with the 26th line).
