Olivia Sonderman - ASA Delegate to the American Medical Association's Residents and Fellows Section (RFS)
Neil Rens - ASA Alternate Delegate to the American Medical Association's Residents and Fellows Section (RFS)
In Early June we had a busy AMA meeting in Chicago with 33 resolutions and reports considered by the RFS and another 258 resolutions and reports reviewed and voted on by the broader AMA. We advocated on your behalf on a number of items pertinent to trainees and to anesthesiologists specifically. Below is a brief summary of some of those items. If you have any questions or suggestions for policy areas that deserve more attention from us, please let us know! Also, Olivia is completing her 2 year term so we will be electing a new Alternate Delegate at the ASA meeting in October. If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out!
