Dr. Chris Steel has been director of anesthesia services at White River Health System for over 10 years, and is currently the inpatient chief medical officer. He also directs anesthesia services at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and is the chief medical consultant for E1 Precision Consulting, whose clients include medical clinics, health systems, anesthesia management companies, anesthesiology groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and healthcare software-as-a-service companies, as well as non-healthcare-related companies.
Dr. Steel co-founded Current Prevention LLC, a company created to help small businesses improve their employees’ health. He also served as the medical director for the Perioperative Surgical Home Learning Collaborative 2020 and chaired the PSH Implementation Workgroup. Previously at White River Health Systems, he served as the chief quality officer and the chief of staff. Dr. Steel trained in anesthesiology and was chief resident at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Angel is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who holds a Master’s degree in finance. Dr. Angel is the outpatient chief medical officer at White River Health Systems as well as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He serves as the national AAOS liaison to the ASA Perioperative Surgical Home and sits on the national AAOS Healthcare Systems Committee. Previously, he helped institute quality programs as co-director of the Perioperative Surgical Home at White River Medical Center. Dr. Angel is committed to prevention of disease and quality health care.
Adam Striker, MD, FASA, is currently Chair of the ASA Committee on Communications, and is the series editor for ASA’s Central Line podcast series. He is an Associate Professor and serves as staff anesthesiologist in the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia at Kentucky Children’s Hospital as part of the Joint Congenital Heart Care Program. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Purdue University and his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his pediatric anest FASA, hesiology fellowship at Northwestern University.
