Alyssa Brzenski, MD, is a clinical professor of anesthesiology at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Brzenski is currently the chief of pediatric anesthesiology as well as the vice chair of clinical affairs at UCSD.
Dr. Brzenski received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley before graduating with her medical degree from Loma Linda University. She then completed residency at the University of California, San Diego as well as her pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Colorado Children’s Hospital before returning back to UC San Diego. Dr. Brzenski is passionate about medical education as well as perioperative outcomes for pediatric patients, participating as a member and contributor to a couple of multicenter pediatric collaboratives, namely the now closed Pediatric Craniofacial Collaborative and the Pediatric Anesthesia COVID-19 Perioperative Collaborative.
Adam Striker, MD, FASA, is the past chair of the ASA’s Committee on Communications and is the series editor for ASA’s Central Line podcast series. He is Professor of Anesthesiology at Medical College of Wisconsin, a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist at Children’s Wisconsin and serves as Director of Clinical Operations for pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Purdue University and his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Northwestern University.
