Provider Relief Fund: Information on Recipient Reporting Requirements
The Terms and Conditions that recipients of Provider Relief Funds (PRF) provided through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) state that recipients are subject to reporting requirements with reports to be submitted “not later than 10 days after the end of each calendar quarter.” While that would seem to mean a first deadline of July 10, practices have been waiting for information specific to how to file these reports.
This is one of many questions generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it is one the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has recently started to address. Do take note that more information to include detailed reporting instructions is to be released by August 17, 2020 and the reporting system is to be available October 1, 2020. The information is targeted to those who received one of more payments exceeding $10,000 in aggregate from the PRF.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) plans to conduct webinars to provide opportunities for Questions and Answer sessions before the reporting deadline. All recipients are to file reports within 45 days of the end of the 2020 calendar year.
