A Question to ASA Members regarding a possible Nationwide Hospital and Group Listing:

CAWS staff is considering developing a nationwide listing of hospitals and their associated groups and is seeking feedback from ASA members on the usefulness of such information. Below is a sample file of a hospital and group listing for Texas. The data source for this sample file is from the Doctors and Clinicians National Downloadable File (NDF), a publicly available dataset provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The NDF file used to compile information for this sample listing is based on one period of time (January 31, 2025 file). The sample file contains city, hospital, and group names, and aggregate anesthesia professional counts, along with the total number of providers in the group.
