In the article, Anita Gupta, DO, PharmD, FASA, outlined three solutions to address increasing opioid use disorder and drug overdoses during the pandemic: policy to minimize stigma and promote mental health in the workplace, innovation and research to improve equitable access to care, and education on treatment options. “Unraveling the snowball effect of these public health challenges will require a unified, multistakeholder strategy …” she wrote.
