ASA understands that we can’t be all work without play. They don’t just talk about work/life balance, they practice it. Taking time off is encouraged as well as attending planned wellness activities to remain healthy and balanced. There are also many ways to engage and socialize with colleagues from trivia contests and bingo games, to volunteer committees and affinity groups. I’m proud to be an employee of the ASA where I get to collaborate with amazing physicians, have fun at work and meet my goals and responsibilities.
ASA has made it easy to be a working mom while still encouraging me to grow in my career and professional development. I am able to be in a leadership position at work and an involved mom at home because of the flexibility ASA provides.
I have never worked for an organization, like ASA, that allows such promotion and encouragement on employee skill growth. Being a newer employee here, the culture of ASA has proven to be nothing but respectful and appreciative for each person. Our diverse backgrounds, skills, and ideas truly matter, for every individual is provided the opportunity to have a voice, contribute, and be heard.
To me, “We are ASA” means we are all one group working toward one goal. We each play a role in this organization and together, we make ASA great. Every person must contribute to be successful, and each person is as important as the next.
There is a strong spirit of collaboration at ASA. Staff from across divisions and departments work together to ensure the unique knowledge and expertise of each staff member contributes to the project.
